My shower was this weekend, it was so much fun! I got really overwhelmed when I first walked in, there were so many people! It was much better after everyone relaxed and I could walk around saying hello to everyone. My BMs were amazing, they couldn't have done a better job.
BTW, Bliss I LOVE your centerpieces!

Teep - I'm glad you had a nice shower!
I didn't accomplish much of anything over the weekend. It's funny, when we first got engaged, I was super into all the planning, but now I honestly don't feel like doing anything. We've only been engaged 2 1/2 months, so I don't know why I'm feeling so over it right now.
I don't really have any WR goals for the week, except to maybe get FI to finally get something nailed down with Pre Cana. I guess I should probably figure out the DJ situation. Maybe the reason I'm so over everything is that I really have no help.. FI doesn't show any real interest in the wedding. I guess he's too busy, but it's still really frustrating. It took him WEEKS to contact the priest and all that resulted in was the priest telling him who to contact for Pre Cana so that still needs to be done. I absolutely refuse to do it, since I could care less about getting married in the church.

Angelstar - looks like we have the same idea for centerpieces :-)
We had our menu tasting on Thursday, and we were able to finalize the menu. My MOH told me she booked my shower (Aug 19) and my b-party (Sept 22-23). This week I want to continue looking for a fascinator, and maybe book the RD.

I got a few more bird cages for centerpieces, booked my boudoir pictures, bought some steamer trunks for display, and remembered that I need to actually finalize my favor wrappers. Today is the walkthrough at my venue (tent is up!) and cake tasting! I'm super excited to walk through and see it now that the gardens will be green and have my plans so I can visualize everything!!!
jessa the tasting was so fun! It's great trying all the different foods and appetizers!
